Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you join the AmberPug waitlist, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it short and plain because we collect very little.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

Karol Kisielewski
Poland
Contact: contact@amberpug.com

If you have any questions about this policy or want to exercise your rights, email the address above.

2. What we collect, and why

DataWhyHow long we keep it
Your email address To add you to the waitlist and send you occasional product updates (1–2 emails per month) about AmberPug. Until you unsubscribe, then deleted.
A hashed version of your IP address To detect and prevent abuse of the signup form (e.g. automated spam). We store a one-way cryptographic hash, not your actual IP address. Automatically deleted after 30 days.

That is all we collect. We do not collect names, browsing behaviour, device fingerprints, or location.

If an email we send you bounces as undeliverable, or you mark it as spam, we remove your address from our list — the same deletion as unsubscribing.

3. Legal basis

We process your email address on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the signup form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing (see section 6); withdrawing it does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

The short-lived hashed IP is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the signup form free from abuse.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use no cookies and no cross-site tracking. For privacy-friendly, aggregate visitor statistics we use Simple Analytics (Netherlands, EU), a cookieless analytics service. It collects only anonymous, aggregated data (such as page views, referrer, country, and device type), sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses, and cannot identify or track individual visitors across sites. Because no personal data is processed for analytics and no cookies are set, there is no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. We use a small number of service providers ("processors") who handle data strictly on our instructions:

We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Union.

6. Unsubscribing

You can leave the waitlist at any time:

Unsubscribing deletes your email address from our records.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email contact@amberpug.com. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority:

Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO)
ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, Poland
uodo.gov.pl

8. Automated decision-making

We do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data — for example, when we begin sending email updates and add an email provider — we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date above. For material changes, we will notify you by email where appropriate.
